A couple of months ago, my wife and I went to the local rock and gem show here in our town. I have been fascinated by rocks since I was a kid – I always came home with my pockets full of the fanciest rocks I could find.
God created the rocks and they each have a story to tell. Inside of them are multiple worlds and dimensions. As part of creation, they want to tell their story and display their brilliance.
Every plain garden rock is waiting for its chance to cry out its praises to the God of creation. However, it is unable to shine and display its beauty unless it is taken and brought to a brilliant shine. This is done by putting the rock in a canister and shaking it for a period of two or three months, using increasingly finer cutting agents to bring out the final brilliant polish. Once this process is complete, the rock’s inner dimensions and stories become visible. Then, once light is refracted on it, the internal worlds are brought to glorious variations of life. It is in this state that a simple rock can literally “SHOUT” the praises of God!!
I had an encounter with heaven one time in which I was shown an entire mountain range made out of jade, then sapphire, then ruby. There were huge quarries cutting out massive blocks of precious stone to prepare them for use in building projects of different kinds. In particular, the foundations of heaven are built out of precious stones and gems. In my encounter, I learned that these stones are polished to a brilliant finish before they are set in place. As a result, when the glory of God shines through them, they come to life and refract that glory in a billion different ways. This is the reason why in heaven there are colors we don’t even experience on earth – because the light source is the glory of God it contains spectrums that are unknown to our physical world.
I have always felt that we are much like the rocks of the field. Each person alive has a brilliant beauty – there are worlds inside us that can only be brought out by prolonged contact with heaven and by the glory of God refracting on us!! It makes me want to pray the prayer of Moses all over again, “O Lord, show me your glory!”
Luke 19:40 Jesus answered, “I tell you, if these were silent, the very stones would cry out”
